Tennessean Spotlights Meals of Hope Volunteer Event with WWE

WWE Star Sheamus packages meals at Nashville Volunteer Event

It’s always a good day when you can help others. What better way to support our community than by volunteering with a group that helps deliver nutritional meals to people in need. That’s why WWE superstar Sheamus joined Meals of Hope in Nashville for a volunteer event that brings people together to pack meals for food banks.

Between getting physically ready for this year’s SummerSlam and enjoying time as a new dad, Sheamus discusses in this Tennessean article how there’s a balance to his hectic schedule, and that includes community engagement.

“It’s all about giving 100% every night, taking pride in your work and getting comfortable in your routine.”

Sheamus and a group of local volunteers packaged meals in the Plaza Mariachi on June 15th, 2022 for 2 hours, successfully packaging over 30,000 meals for the local community.

Work with Meals of Hope

Meals of Hope is an organization that specializes in packaging meals for food banks. “We believe it is our job to feed people. Meals of Hope began as a food packing organization, and we are the only food packing organization with a priority on keeping the food packed within the United States. We developed five meals specifically designed for the American palate with added vitamins, minerals and proteins to supplement an unbalanced diet. Most of our packed meals are donated to the Feeding America Food Bank Network.”

Furthermore, Meals of Hope is proud to be able to keep food local, meaning each bag of food packaged at the Nashville Meals for Hope volunteer event will go to people in need within Nashville. “Each bag contains enough food to provide six to eight meals. In only two hours, each person will generally pack around 60 bags. That’s roughly 350 meals for our hungry working families, children, seniors and veterans”.
